Gustavo Dinucci and The Evolution of Habitat Live and Wear

Gustavo Dinucci, originally from Argentina, via Patagonia, Idaho, and Utah finds himself in Washington, DC in 2000 thinking about the next logical step: Habitat Live & Wear on U Street is realized.
Gustavo’s initial desire was to bring live and wear designs from Latin American  artists to the U Street scene.  He then turns to designing jewelry as a hobby, working with silversmiths in Mexico, Spain and Argentina. A decade later and Gustavo is still creating one of a kind in topaz,  quartz, organic pearls, jasper, garnet, and red and black onyx.
Habitat Live and Wear’s theme expands with gold gilded mirrors by Gabriela Cagigas, and translucent onyx lighting elements by Cecilia Lobaton from  Puebla, Mexico and a menagerie of recycled leather desktop organizers designed by a group of young Argentinian artisans. By popular local  demand, Habitat Live and Wear always carries a wide selection of handbags, briefcases, messengers, clutches and accessories for the metro man and woman. We are Vegan friendly!
